CHICAGO, ILL. — Life wasted no time in challenging the resolve of Earl Bell, Jr. to succeed, having pneumonia at six weeks old, he'd hurdled his first challenge before he could walk or talk. Bell shares his story as a testament to what untapped potential may be inside all of us.

A native Chicagoan, Bell grew up in the Englewood neighborhood where statistically, only two percent of the residents leave without being in a coffin, or handcuffs. A mixed bag of circumstances shapes the lives of young men and woman who are born into neighborhoods such as Englewood. In Bell's case it was an abusive, alcoholic father who played no real role in his upbringing, gangs, and educational pursuits that ended in 8th grade. In addition, becoming a father at the age of 14, threatened to continue this cycle for another generation of the Bell family. Nevertheless, not without struggle, Bell created a path where one did not currently exist.

"Some children need to be told they can succeed, and some children need to see someone with a similar background make good," said Earl Bell, Public Speaker and Business Owner. "In this age of social media, video games, and YouTube, it's easy to lose that human aspect of everyday living that gives one another the encouragement to not look at what everyone around you is doing, but to concentrate on yourself," explained Bell.

An exception to the rule, Bell offers his audiences, a blue print to not just creating a better life, but the existence they imagine for themselves. "After being arrested at 12 years-old, I wanted to change my life. My mother gave me a couple of options, I choose one, excelled at it, but I wasn't truly happy until I happened upon my destiny, but when I found it, I knew instantly," described, Bell.

A champion body-builder, Bell realized his passion for fitness the moment he stepped into a gym. "Everything about health, fitness, body-building, and personal training, comes down to mind-set," said Bell. His conversations with audiences meet people wherever they're at in life and inspires them to take the next step. Bell reminds us, "Don't we all remember what it's like on the first day of something?"
